Dr. Simon's staff is professionally trained and always greets you with a smile. We provide excellent orthodontic care and have been making beautiful smiles for many years!

The complimentary initial visit will take approximately 30 minutes. This visit will consist of a visual exam and consultation. If orthodontic treatment is required, an outline of proposed options will be explained. For younger children, if their dentition is not ready to commence treatment, an appropriate recall will be scheduled for further evaluation.

If your initial consultation determined that orthodontic treatment is necessary, an appointment will be scheduled for orthodontic records. These records consist of dental impressions, orthodontic radiographs and photographs. There is a fee for the orthodontic records.

At your follow up visit, full details, including cost and payment arrangements, will be discussed. The treatment will be finalized at this visit.

The most common type of braces, they are fabricated from high-grade stainless steel. The braces consist of metal brackets and archwires to straighten your teeth. You also have the option to choose different colours of elastics for a fun, unique smile during your treatment!

A series of invisible, removable and comfortable "aligners" to straighten your teeth. They have no metal and can be removed when you eat and drink, making flossing and brushing much easier.

These braces are less visible because they are made of a clear, hard ceramic material. They have the same performance as traditional metal braces (but will not stain or discolour.)

Unless it is accompanied by pain, this is NOT an emergency. Orthodontic wax can be used to alleviate discomfort. Call our office the next business day and a repair appointment will be scheduled if your regular adjustment appointment is not scheduled soon. Please let us know if a bracket is broken before you come to your regularly scheduled appointment so we can schedule extra time.
*If there is pain, please contact our office for the emergency numbers.

Occasionally a wire may poke your cheek or gums. As a temporary measure you can attempt to clip the wire with nail clippers. You can also try bending the wire with a pencil eraser or place wax on it to stop the discomfort. Call our office the next business day to schedule a repair appointment.

When your treatment has been finalized, payment can be arranged in different ways. The most common is a down payment and manageable monthly installments. All payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard or by cheque.
*Please note that your monthly installments DO NOT coincide with your scheduled adjustment appointments.
If you have dental insurance, please supply us with your benefit information so we can fill out the predetermination for you. This form is required by your insurance company to establish your orthodontic coverage.
